Welcome to Florecer, a space where beauty, even in most fleeting form is preserved. 

Florecer means to bloom in Spanish, and it reflects the heartbeat behind every piece created. Life brings seasons of famine and seasons of abundance. We experience both moments when everything feels barren, and moments when everything bursts into color. Through it all, the bloom is a symbol: a quiet reminder that no matter how dark or dry a season may feel, beauty is just around the corner, waiting to bloom again.

Each piece is handcrafted using real elements from nature: preserved flowers, plants, butterfly wings, and even fruit. These delicate, perishable things mirror our own humanity: vibrant, vulnerable, and full of meaning. By preserving them, I aim to capture a moment of wonder and offer a token of hope…

ABOUT THE ARTIST

I’m Melody Skye and I’m the hands and heart behind Florecer.

I’ve always been drawn to the quiet details… 

the way a flower leans toward the light, the shimmer of a butterfly wing, the shifting colors of passing seasons. These small, fleeting moments remind me that beauty is always there. It is but a matter of noticing. 

Florecer was born during one of those hard seasons, a time when I needed to believe that something beautiful could still grow. Creating jewelry from real, preserved pieces of nature became a way for me to hold onto hope. It was a practice in noticing, in remembering, and in honoring the truth that life moves in seasons: some barren, some blooming.

As an artist, I see my work as more than adornment. Each piece is a unique reminder. A way to capture the fleeting, to preserve what is often overlooked, and to invite others to see meaning in the fragile and the beautiful.
